New Design Test

So yeah, the main page seemed a bit cluttered, so I'm working on cleaning it up a bit. In case things go wrong, I've made a copy at User:K3fka/Old_main_page. That is all. ~K3fka 14:26, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Update, I finished the new design. Please give me feedback through this discussion page, on SMWC through a PM, or on the IRC. I've also made the boxes that show articles that need help and articles that need images much easier to work with by making them templates, as I have also done with the categories box. ~K3fka 17:21, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Guidelines

I know I am not a mod or anything but I need to make this.

I want to say, if you are making pictures or something, please make them big enoguh so if you are showing it, the text will show! I got really frusrated with some of the pictures being thin or way too small. Thank you!

How about making a seperate page like SMWiki:Guidelines to put things on there, and then link it on the navigation bar on the side. FreshPrinceTFP.pngTalk? C???
Oh also, could we use DPL on the main page. like where it says "These articles need to be expanded + images"? I think it's an extension for mediawiki, and also, if you didn't know, DPL is like an automatic thing that gathers data from the wiki and shows you the information you put in. Like if I put {{#dpl:namespace=Template|createdby=TheFreshPrince|mode=ordered|columns=1}}, it would show all the Templates ive made, in a numbered format. FreshPrinceTFP.pngTalk? C???
I, Ultimaximus, have completed the suggested Guidelines page.

Guidelines stuff

From the guidelines page: [http://gamefaqs GameFAQS]
Suggested change: [http://gamefaqs.com/ GameFAQs] (wrong capitalizing, very likely broken link)

And the bottom part says that vandalism while not logged in will get you ipbanned. To my knowledge, you can't edit stuff without being logged in. This might need editing.
I would do this myself if I could, but it's locked.

I, Ultimaximus, have verified and completed the suggested task.

Who thinks the main page needs a revamp?

Okay guys,

We DO NOT need redirect pages like Cement Blocks that go to Cement Block. This can be easily done in a link by "piping". Piping is the process of making an article link look like something it is not. Use piping for plurals of an article or something that has an article. Example: omfg (Hover over the link to see it goes to the article Cement Block. Edit this page to see how it's done.)
