Switch Palace

A Switch Palace is usually a level containing one of four colored switches.
In Super Mario World, these are short levels where you can earn one or more 1-Ups in a fairly easy way. In the second room of these palaces, the switch is located. Hitting a switch of any color will make all the !-blocks of the Switch's color in the world become solid, thus allowing Mario to stand on them. Furthermore, the yellow and green !-blocks will give Mario a Mushroom or Feather when hit from below, respectively. The switches are located on Yoshi's Island, Donut Plains, Vanilla Dome and Forest of Illusion. There is also an unused Red Switch Palace in the Valley of Bowser.
