Projectile Peril - Secret Star Block

You must be at least Super Mario before attempting to find this exit. Just before the pipe leading to the second area, there is a group of ? Blocks. Find a hidden Note Block above this area and get the P-Switch from the above ledge. Take it left to the horizontal green pipe hanging above a pit and press it to reveal a bridge you can use to enter the pipe. In this area, jump against the right wall to reveal another Note Block and break the Rotating Block, opening a passage leading to the seed. Collect the seed and bring it back to the Bub-ulb to find the star block.

Clear Water Springs - Keyhole

The keyhole is a few screens to the right of the starting point, underneath a ledge.

Thrill Villa - Solution

1. Fall into the haunted house. In this level, you'll need to collect four stone blocks to open the door at the right of the hub area. You can collect them in any order.

Block 1

2. Enter the door below where Mario falls into the hub room. Go to the right, using the blocks to make the Switch Blocks solid or pass-though, and get the P-Switch.

3. Bring the switch to the left and get the Koopa shell. While the switch is still active, turn the Switch Blocks into outlines and jump upon the blue ! blocks to the right. Throw the shell upward to turn them solid again and enter the door.

Block 2

4. Go down the pipe to the left in the hub room. In the water area, swim to the right until you see a certain item underneath a crate. This item will take you to the block.

Block 3

5. Enter the leftmost pipe in the hub room again and go all the way to the right. Enter the yellow pipe at the end of this area to find a P-Switch. Carry it to the upper-right area of the hub room and turn the block above a door into a coin to enter it.

6. In this room, get the P-Balloon and fly to the top to find the block.

Block 4

7. Take the left pipe in the hub room and proceed to the right again, taking the P-Switch to the upper-right area. Hit the P-Switch while standing to the left of the Triangle Block to create a path Mario can run up. Enter the door above.

8. Go to the right. As soon as you hit the first P-Switch, drop to the lower area, circle around the large block by alternating the Switch Blocks, and hit the second P-Switch, making sure the Switch Blocks are on their "solid" setting. Dash quickly to the left and enter the door.

To the boss

9. Once you have all four blocks, enter to the door to the lower-right of the hub area to find the boss.
