Purple triangle

"Purple triangles" are objects that allow Mario to run vertically into a wall, if Mario is ridding Yoshi the purple triangle will act as a non-portable springboard. If a sprite like a koopa shell is thrown towards a purple triangle, said sprite will be sent up flying.

Purple triangles don't work correctly unless tile 1EB (flat ground tile) is placed bellow, however, they can be placed above any other block with the help of map16. A purple triangle may either be facing right or facing left, left facing triangles are object 44 in Lunar Magic and right facing triangles are object 45 in Lunar Magic. If Mario walks into a purple triangle in the opposite direction it faces he will overlap trough the ground and fall, that's why there where always connected to a solid tile in SMW.
