Lunar IPS

A useful program made by FuSoYa, it creates and applies IPS patches. Though originally intended for making simple patches of Super Mario World hacks, it is also commonly used to make patches for many other NES & SNES hacks, including the NES Megaman games, Super Mario Kart, SMW2: Yoshi's Island, and others. It is a must-download, because most hacks of every game must be submitted to the internet as .ips files which can most easily be made with Lunar IPS. The reason hacks must be made into patches instead of being submitted as ROMs is because the ROMs are under copyright protection, while patches are not. It can also be used to patch hacks (again, not limited to SMW) made by other users. It sets up file association after it is run, so thereon, double-clicking an IPS patch file will bring a dialog box to select what should be patched. This eliminates the hassle of finding the program every time. No settings have to be made to patch IPS patches to various types of ROMs, adding to it's simplicity. The latest version is 1.02, as of June 3, 2010.
