Level 122 went by the name Forest Secret Area in Super Mario World and is best remembered for being a winged platform ride through the wooded treetops near the end of the Forest Of Illusion. It is one of the few levels in the original game that features a fast-scrolling background. The only enemies in this level are a mix of Green Koopa Paratroopas and Red Koopa Paratroopas. A careful player can also earn several 1-Ups at the end of the level by scrolling the screen left before breaking the Goal Tape at the Giant gate.
Another way to gain 1-ups in this area is to have a feather in order to continuously hit koopas into the air while riding one of the flying platforms.
