Donut Plains 1 is the first level in Donut Plains and the first level where Mario encounters the Feather powerup. Preceded by Iggy's Castle and proceeded by Donut Plains 2. This is the first level in Super Mario World to feature a secret exit. It is encouraged to complete the Green Switch Palace to allow easy access to the secret exit, it can however be reached with a cape and/or Yoshi Jump. In the case of a Yoshi Jump the screen will not scroll so you will have to find the key blind.

Overview

Many Super Koopas will be using platforms as their runway at the beginning of the level. One of their capes is red and flashing, he has the Feather. The level mostly consists of Pitchin' Chucks, Volcano Lotus, and more Super Koopas. Collect the Feather and fly high in the sky to collect Yoshi Coins. This level has hidden 1-Up Mushroom points scattered around, along with a pipe that leads to a bonus level. Near the end of the stage, you will need to beat the Green Switch Palace to access the Key and Keyhole on a pipe platform above. Additionally, you can jump off Yoshi or use the Feather to fly up there. One of the pipes in the level warps you to a flying tutorial with lots of coins and another Feather powerup.

Entrances and Exits

The Main Entrance to Level 15 is on screen 00, X=1, Y=6, and S=1. The Midway Entrance to Level 15 is on screen 09. The first exit from Level 15 is on screen 07 to Level FD. The second exit from Level 15 is on screen 0B to Level E3. The only Secondary Entrance to Level 15 is #0FD on screen 0B, X=8, Y=3, and S=01.

Message #1

The red dot areas on the map have two different exits. If you have the time and skill, be sure to look for them.

Message #2

Use Mario's cape to soar through the air! Run fast, jump, and hold the Y Button. To keep balance, use left and right on the Control Pad.
